Wrinkle remedies – how to get rid of wrinkles

crow's feet_wrinklesWhy are wrinkles formed?  Bothered by ugly frown line, forehead wrinkles, and crow's feet? Want to know what are those antioxidant rich foods?  Wrinkles development can be categorized in 2 groups.  One is related to aging, while the other portion is related to facial expression exaggerated contraction.

Aging factor:

Generally the aging factor can be divided into "natural aging" and "sun tan aging".  With natural aging, the skin on average becomes thinner.  The collagen in the skin, sebaceous gland, and skin's ability to hold moisture lose their functions.  In brief, skin becomes thinner, fragile, dry, flabby, and wrinkled.

With "sun tan aging", skin thickness becomes thicker randomly, stratum corneum accumulates causing skin surface to look rough and dull.  The cells start to lose elasticity and skin surface starts to form deep wrinkles with uneven sunburn.  With prolonged sun tan, cells start to develop abnormally to form benign tumor as in seborrheic keratosis and increased of sebaceous gland as in solar keratosis.  

Expression related wrinkles:

These wrinkles, which are also known as dynamic wrinkles, appear when we have certain facial expression such as frown lines, forehead wrinkles, and crow's feet.  For those professions such as coach and teachers that need frequent facial expression to get attention, it is obvious that they develop these dynamics wrinkles earlier. 

How to get rid of wrinkles and some wrinkles remedies:

  1. Use sun block cream, carry umbrella or use hat to block sun radiation.
  2. Use moisturizer to lock in moisture to prevent dry skin.
  3. Do more massage on concerned areas to stimulate and vitalize skin cells.
  4. Take more whole grains that contain a lot of Vitamin A, Linoleic acid, and Vitamin E. 
  5. Drink more water to help metabolism, getting rid of cells waste and toxins from body.
  6. Avoid fried, grilled, artificial flavored foods that will accelerate oxidation of cells.
  7. Take in lots of antioxidant foods such as green tea, broccoli, grape seed, carrots.
  8. Stay relaxed and find ways to release stress.
  9. Change sleeping position.  Some will notice frown lines are more obvious on the left if you are sleeping on the left side.
  10. Eat frequent light meals as foods such as rice and noddles will tend to raise blood sugar level up quickly causing increased level in insulin too fast, which encourages inflammation and aging.  Thus, prevent overeating.
  11. Avoid smoking and drinking.
  12. Avoid air polluted environment whenever possible.  Polluted air (exhaust fume from vehicles, factories) contains contaminated particles that will slow down skin's ability to regenerate and fasten skin aging.
