The vitamins that are effective to treat stroke are Vitamin C and Vitamin E. Stroke happens when the supplying blood to the brain is cut off, also known as cerebral vascular accident. About 75% of the incidents involves clot in one of the arteries that causes arteries to burst and bleed. The blood oozes to other brain cells - the phenomenon is known as haemorrhage, which can create higher pressure in brain and kill other cells.

Vitamin C
Vitamin C has anti-oxidant effect and can prevent deposition of low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol on the wall of blood vessels. In addtion, Vitamin C helps to convert cholesterol to bile acid that can be discharged out from body. Moreover, Vitamin C helps to promote development of collagen within the inner wall of blood vessels in order to prevent rupture of blood vessels.
