WHAT IS COLONIC IRRIGATION?
Colonic equipment is used for Colonic irrigation.  It is a way to use gravity as a method of internally cleansing the colon of poisons, gas, accumulated fecal matter and unwanted parasites.  Unlike an Enema, it does not involve the retention of water.  There is no discomfort, no internal pressure, just a steady gentle flow of water, which will soften mucous plaque and colon debris.  If you add to this process abdominal massage, it will stimulate a natural recovery shape, tone, and peristaltic wave action of your intestinal system.  It is not uncommon for a person to release pieces of food they may not have eaten for 2-10 years!

HOW IS A HOME COLONIC ADMINISTERED?
The Colonic equipment is propped up while the other end lay over the toilet.  While relaxing on the Colonic equipment you insert a sterilized speculum is gently inserted in the Rectum.  Water flows into the Colon via a small water tube and out through the evacuation tube carrying with it impacted feces and mucous.  As the water flows out of the colon, the Practitioner gently massages the Abdomen to help the Colon release its contents.  It is possible to see this expelled waste matter in the catch basin at the end of the process.  The person is well covered and their modesty is given TOP PRIORITY during the procedure.  The colonic process takes about 30-60 minutes.
The cost of a professional treatment is $45-60.00 per session.  Setting up self-colon irrigation at home will save you hundreds of dollars.  You will pay for the colonic equipment after your third session.  The home convenience is wonderful.  The most important benefit of setting up your own colon irrigation system is being able to control the sanitary conditions, making sure the water is pure and making sure the equipment is thoroughly disinfected.

HOW MANY COLONICS NECESSARY?
The number of intestinal irrigation treatments varies depending upon the individual's condition.  Oftentimes,  the waste is so encrusted,  it may take a series of 7 Colon irrigations to sufficiently loosen this accumulated fecal material.  Some people may have startling results during the first few treatments, while others not notice much discharge until the 5th time!  This is why is recommended that you do a series of at least seven.
Once the colon is clean, it is advisable to have a colonic quarterly during the following year.  An easy way to remember is to have a colonic at the changing of the Seasons when diet and exercise patterns change.  You should have a colonic before, during, and after any FASTING ACTIVITY to hasten removal of Toxic waste.
Dr. Bernard Jensen, the world leading authority on colon health and the greatest influence for my career, recommends 2-3 colon irrigations per day during his seven-day cleansing program.  He recommends this seven-day series five times per year for the first year.  Once the colon is cleansed after the first year, he recommends the seven-day session once per year for maintenance.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF COLONIC IRRIGATION?
Use of Colonic equipment for Colonics can offer relief from a variety of intestinal and autointoxication issues by cleansing the colon of impacted and putrefactive debris.  Clients have found relieved of constipation, chronic diarrhea, fatigue, gas, headaches, irritability, skin problems, circulation sluggishness, and lethargy.  Your sense of well being is often dramatically improved with the process of colon cleansing.  You will feel lighter and more energetic.  The body can more effectively assimilate the nutrients of your food and better defend itself against disease.  Natural peristalsis, tone, and intestinal regularity can be restored.

ARE THERE SIDE EFFECTS OF COLONICS?
There are no direct side effects caused by colon irrigation; professional colonics, or personal Colonic equipment use.  However, the process does stir up toxic material as it is released.  Toxins that once where dormant in the toxic mucous layers are now being flushed out and a small amount may be Re-Absorbed into the system of the body.  Some people can get nauseous, have headaches, or feel dizzy after a Colonic.  The goal is to remove the toxicity, therefore a little discomfort along the way toward Vital Well-being is well worth a few momentary discomforts.

COLONIC EQUIPMENT VS ENEMAS
Enemas generally consist of a 2-quart bag and tubing, found at a local pharmacy for about $12.00.  For evacuation, the tip is removed and the fluid is expelled into the toilet.  The procedure is repeated as necessary - 2qts each time.  Some lay on the floor and take in the water while others may use the bath tube or sit on a toilet.  It will depend if you are able to retain the water or not.  However, enemas use only 2 quarts at a time, and tend to flush only the sigmoid and descending colon.  Using an enema is better than nothing, if you have acute or chronic constipation problems, and it achieves minimal results in terms of deep colon cleansing.
Colonic equipment are designed to flush the entire large intestine, from the rectum all the way to the Appendix.  Colon irrigations allow you to lie on your back in a much more comfortable position so you can relax and massage your colon.  The Colonic equipment allow the ease of a one-time insertion and continuous evacuations without the removal of the tip.  I for one, as do many other people get irritated tissue quickly from repeated insertion and release of putrefied fecal matter.  A 5-gallon bucket of purified water and/or solution is dispensed into the colon at will without getting off the colonic equipment to expel.  Any evacuation material will fall into the toilet.  The procedure usually takes from ? to 1 hour to exhaust a 5-gallon container.
